Patient Rooms
16 Private Patient Rooms, including 2 major medical trauma rooms, are designed to provide adequate space to comfortably treat the more than 20,000 patients who seek care from Ozarks Healthcare's Emergency Department each year.
Each room has a state-of-the-art cardiac monitoring system by Nihon Kohden.
12-lead EKG capabilities to measure the electrical activity of the heartbeat and access to Portable Imaging Equipment. In addition, two of the patient rooms are negative pressure with systems that can be activated to prevent contaminated air in the rooms from reaching other parts of the hospital or ED.
Each room has a television and telephone to make the patient and their family more comfortable.
Patient Care
The Emergency Department offers direct access to the Ozarks Healthcare Laboratory, which has a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week staff that includes degreed medical technologists who can perform almost any lab testing in house.
A patient nutrition station can provide food and beverages for Emergency Department patients.
A private patient consult room is available for families, who may be in need of a private area to speak with a physician.
A decontamination area can be accessed from the exterior of the hospital to keep harmful contaminants out of the hospital. The decontamination room includes several different kinds of showers to accommodate the different decontamination needs of various chemicals.
Level II Stroke Center. Awarded primary stroke certification by HFAP. The certification confirms that the multidisciplinary stroke team is providing high-quality care as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation.
