  • October Blood Drive to be hosted by Ozarks Healthcare and Community Blood Center of the Ozarks 10/15/2021

    Ozarks Healthcare and the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) will host a blood drive on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from noon until 6 p.m., at the Willard Hunter Classroom in the Ozarks Healthcare Parkway Center at 1211 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains. The CBCO is the exclusive provider of blood, platelets, and plasma to all local hospitals, including Ozarks Healthcare.

  • Ozarks Healthcare Foundation to host Volunteer Luncheon Oct. 20 10/15/2021

    The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation invites all past, present, and interested Ozarks Healthcare volunteers to attend a luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at noon at the West Plains Country Club. A presentation featuring a hospital expansion update and mobile mammography unit campaign will be featured. Spouses, friends, and family of volunteers are also welcome to attend.

  • Ozark Marketing Company donates to Ozarks Healthcare Foundation’s Mobile Mammography Campaign 10/14/2021

    Ozark Marketing Company has made a donation of $500 to the Ozarks Healthcare Foundation’s fundraising initiative for a mobile mammography unit. The funds will be used to help with costs associated with the purchase of a mobile mammography unit to help make routine screenings more accessible for women who might not otherwise have access to this service.

  • Ozarks Healthcare updates Visitor Restrictions to allow for More Visitors 10/14/2021

    Following a lower census of COVID-19 patients, Ozarks Healthcare is updating its visitor restrictions, effective immediately. Beginning Thursday, Oct. 14, each patient admitted to Ozarks Healthcare’s hospital will be permitted two visitors (18 years and older) per day during visiting hours. Visiting hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors will be screened at their point of entry and asked to wear a mask. Each visitor will be required to remain in the patient’s room at all times. This includes Emergency Department patients.

    BÜRO Office Supply of West Plains recently gifted new massage chairs to Ozarks Healthcare’s staff to offer encouragement and relief. The chairs are available for staff to use in an employee rejuvenation area located in Ozarks Healthcare’s hospital.

  • Ozarks Healthcare At Home: Hospice honors Robert Littles, Veteran, for Military Service 10/12/2021

    Ozarks Healthcare At Home: Hospice recently honored Robert Littles of Alton, Missouri, for his service in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War with a “We Honor Veterans” ceremony. Littles served as a welder during his term of service. Littles and his wife Ruth Ann have been married since 1994 and have six children, 16 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

  • Ozarks Healthcare Behavioral Health Center to host Peer Support Group for Veterans 10/12/2021

    The Ozarks Healthcare Behavioral Health Center (BHC) is starting a Veterans Peer Support Group for former and current military members. The group is being hosted to help effectively address the needs of the veteran, National Guard, and reservist communities. A relaxed and confidential environment will be provided for those attending in hopes of encouraging past and current transitional experiences to be shared with other veterans.

  • Ozarks Healthcare to offer Flu Vaccine Clinic at Gainesville Location 10/12/2021

    To keep its community safe ahead of flu season, Ozarks Healthcare will hold a flu vaccine clinic at its family medicine clinic in Gainesville, Missouri, on Monday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon. Ozarks Healthcare Gainesville is located at 37 Medical Drive.

  • Great Rivers Distributing donates to Ozarks Healthcare Foundation’s Mobile Mammography Campaign 10/7/2021

    Great Rivers Distributing Co., Inc., has made a donation of $5,000 to the Ozarks Healthcare Foundation’s fundraising initiative for a mobile mammography unit. The funds will be used to help with costs associated with the purchase of a mobile mammography unit to help make routine screenings more accessible for women who might not otherwise have access to this service.

  • Ozarks Healthcare Foundation marks Successful Kick-Off to Mobile Mammography Unit Campaign and Breast Cancer Awareness Month 10/7/2021

    On Oct. 1, the Ozarks Healthcare Foundation launched its new fundraising initiative for a mobile mammography unit in conjunction with the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On Oct. 1, local West Plains businesses including The Fish Shack, Colton’s Steak House & Grill, and Hirsch Feed & Farm Supply participated in the Foundation’s kick-off date by agreeing to donate a portion of their proceeds to the campaign. Wood’s Riverbend Restaurant in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Antler Package and Pizza in Gainesville, Missouri, also donated a portion of their proceeds from the day to the campaign.
