Ozarks Healthcare was recently recognized through multiple awards at the 21st annual HealthCare Service Excellence Conference hosted earlier this month by Custom Learning Systems in La Jolla, California. The Summit Awards are a North American wide recognition program established and managed by the HealthCare Service Excellence Conference. Ozarks Healthcare and several staff members received awards for exceptional customer service achievements in healthcare, including quality of service for patients, quality of work life for professionals, and overall performance.

The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation will relight its Lights of Life project this holiday season to provide community members with an opportunity to recognize and honor the lives of loved ones. The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation’s Lights of Life project gives community members an opportunity to honor their loved ones by sponsoring a Christmas tree light with a donation of $10 or an ornament with a donation of $25. Lights and ornaments will be used to decorate a Christmas tree, which is displayed annually in the lobby of Ozarks Healthcare’s North Entrance.

On Tuesday, Nov. 30, a worldwide celebration generosity known as Giving Tuesday will be recognized. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to come together through generosity in all its forms by sharing acts of kindness and giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes. Ozarks Healthcare’s Foundation is one of several organizations in the Ozarks that uses gifts of philanthropy to serve the health of its community.

While the holidays looked slightly different last year, many are planning to resume normal traditions and celebrations this season. Pandemic or not, emergency rooms across the nation usually see a spike of trauma during the holidays each year. From his years of emergency medical experience, Dr. Curtis Horstman, Medical Director of Ozarks Healthcare’s Emergency Department, is no stranger to holiday health emergencies.

Ozarks Healthcare recently celebrated 1,905 years of service to the health system with its 2021 Longevity Banquet.

Following the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services’ expansion of eligibility for COVID-19 booster vaccines to all fully vaccinated adults, Ozarks Healthcare is now able to provide booster doses to individuals who are 18 and older and fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Kimberly Carr, board-certified family nurse practitioner, recently joined Ozarks Healthcare as a provider at its location in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
