Ozarks Healthcare is excited to announce that José Alonso-Escalante, MD, has joined its team of highly skilled providers. He is now accepting patients at Ozarks Healthcare General Surgery, located at 1100 Kentucky Ave. in West Plains. Alonso is performs a wide range of surgical procedures to meet the healthcare needs of the community.

Alonso brings extensive experience and advanced training in general surgery, offering compassionate, patient-centered care. His expertise includes managing complex surgical cases and providing innovative treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs.

Originally from Costa Rica, Alonso earned his medical degree at Universidad de Costa Rica. He completed his general surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pennsylvania and has dedicated his career to ensuring excellent surgical outcomes for his patients.
