Ozarks Healthcare celebrates Groundbreaking for New Healthcare Facility in Mountain View
Ozarks Healthcare proudly commemorated a significant milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony for a new comprehensive health center in Mountain View. This ceremony marks the commencement of construction for a state-of-the-art facility, made possible by a $1,000,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Development Program.
Joined by Missouri State Representative Travis Smith, Ozarks Healthcare leaders and Mountain View staff highlighted the new clinic’s critical role in enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality for rural families.
“This new clinic space signifies our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care to the Mountain View area,” Tom Keller, Ozarks Healthcare President and CEO, said. “We are thrilled to expand our healthcare offerings and enhance the quality of life for our residents."
The new clinic, located near the Apple Mart/Walmart Shopping Center on U.S. Hwy. 60 in Mountain View is slated to feature expanded testing areas, patient rooms, and cutting-edge medical technology, which reflects Ozarks Healthcare's commitment to community growth and wellbeing. The facility will house a range of services including family medicine, therapies, imaging, a retail pharmacy, and more, all aimed at providing holistic care for the community.
“Closing the healthcare gap between urban and rural happens one new facility at a time,” Kyle Wilkens, USDA Rural Development State Director, said. “This is proof of long-term community commitment from Ozarks Healthcare and the federal government.”
Josh Reeves, Vice President of Development and Advocacy at Ozarks Healthcare, reiterated the significance of the new clinic space and its impact on community health.
“At Ozarks Healthcare, we are dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of our community,” Reeves said. “This groundbreaking ceremony in my hometown represents a pivotal moment in our journey to provide comprehensive healthcare services to Mountain View and surrounding areas. Thanks to the support of our community, and leaders like Missouri State Senator Karla Eslinger and State Representatives David Evans and Travis Smith, we’re able to make stronger healthcare a reality. We look forward to the positive impact this facility will have on the health and wellbeing of our community.”
Construction for the new clinic space is set to progress rapidly, with Ozarks Healthcare promising to keep the community informed through social media and their website, www.ozarkshealthcare.com. Until the new clinic’s opening, staff will continue to provide care at the clinic’s current location, 220 N. Elm St.
“There is nothing more important to rural communities than having healthcare,” Missouri State Representative Travis Smith, said. “When you have a healthy society, the people of that community are more apt to be productive.”
