Ozarks Healthcare Behavioral Health Center expands Healing Hearts Support Group for Adolescents and Adults

Therapists from Ozarks Healthcare’s Behavioral Health Center (BHC) are pleased to reintroduce the Healing Hearts Support Group, offering compassionate guidance for adolescents and adults navigating emotional and mental health challenges.

The Healing Hearts Support Group provides a safe and nurturing environment for individuals awaiting therapy services. Specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of both age groups, separate sessions are offered to ensure age-appropriate discussions and support.

Starting June 6, Ozarks Healthcare’s BHC will host the Healing Hearts Support Group on Thursdays from 8 - 9 a.m. for adolescents age 12 – 18 years old. This ongoing support is available year-round for 12 - 18 year-olds currently on the BHC patient waitlist.

Additionally, the Healing Hearts Support Group for adults on the BHC patient waitlist and awaiting therapy will meet on Wednesdays from 3 – 4 p.m.

Led by experienced mental health professionals from Ozarks Healthcare's BHC, the Healing Hearts Support Group aims to provide attendees with coping strategies, self-esteem enhancement, and peer support. Both support groups will be hosted at Ozarks Healthcare’s BHC in West Plains.

"We are thrilled to reintroduce the Healing Hearts Support Group as a valuable resource for our community," Bailey Tollenaar, licensed professional counselor (LPC), said. "These groups offer a safe and supportive space for individuals to navigate their mental health challenges and find solace among peers facing similar experiences."

Limited space is available for participation in the Healing Hearts Support Group. For more information and registration details, interested individuals are encouraged to call 417-257-6762 or visit the Ozarks Healthcare BHC at 1211 Porter Wagoner Blvd. #23 in West Plains.
