Lori MacPherson, MD, joins Ozarks Healthcare Family Medicine in West Plains
Ozarks Healthcare is pleased to welcome Lori MacPherson, M.D., to its Family Medicine team in West Plains.
MacPherson was previously at CoxHealth Mountain Grove for 22 years and recently served as a physician with the Marshfield Veterans Affairs (VA) Clinic. MacPherson is board-certified in family medicine and received her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1998 where she graduated in the top ten percent of her class. She completed her residency at CoxHealth Family Medicine in 2001 where she served as chief resident.
Over her medical career, MacPherson has managed numerous chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, COPD, asthma, Parkinson’s disease, and thyroid disorders. She provides management of common mental health issues, including depression and anxiety and ADHD. MacPherson says she believes an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and encourages preventative healthcare. In addition, MacPherson provides children’s wellness care and women’s healthcare.

In her free time, MacPherson enjoys kayaking, hiking, and spending time with her family. She still resides in Mountain Grove and has two sons currently in college.

Ozarks Healthcare Family Medicine in West Plains is located at 181 Kentucky Ave. (Highland Park) and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Ozarks Healthcare Walk-in Clinic in West Plains is located in the same building and is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
