Give Blood. Save Lives. Have Fun: Ozarks Healthcare and Community Blood Center of the Ozarks to host Spring Blood Drive
The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) is partnering with four area attractions to help boost the region’s blood supply this spring.
Ozarks Healthcare invites eligible donors to participate through donating blood at the CBCO’s next blood drive at its health system. The drive will take place on Thursday, April 25, from noon to 6 p.m. at Ozarks Healthcare’s Willard Hunter Classroom in Parkway Center located at 1211 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains.
Anyone who donates blood, plasma or platelets to the CBCO between March 1 and April 30, 2024, will receive a CBCO “Locally Sourced” T-shirt and an “Ozarks Adventure Pass” worth over $150 in vouchers redeemable for the following admission offers at partner attractions:
1. The Discovery Center of Springfield: Receive TWO free admissions, valued at $30, applicable until Dec. 31, 2024.
2. The Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville, AR: Enjoy TWO free admissions, valued at $24, valid from April 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2024.

The CBCO serves over 40 hospitals, including Ozarks Healthcare, and each donation can impact up to three local patients.
To ensure a seamless donation process, donors are advised to:
1. Drink plenty of water or juice the night and morning before you donate.
2. Eat a well-balanced meal around 2-3 hours before giving.
3. Bring your photo ID - Photo ID is now required for all donors.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged to minimize potential wait times at the blood drive. Donors can schedule an appointment at https://www.cbco.org/donate-blood/ or by calling 417-227-5006.
