Dr. Joseph Barnard Now Seeing Patients Full-Time at Ozarks Healthcare in Gainesville
Ozarks Healthcare is pleased to announce that Dr. Joseph Barnard, a board-certified family medicine physician, is now providing full-time care to patients at Ozarks Healthcare in Gainesville. Barnard joins Dr. Edward Henegar, board-certified primary care provider, and Trisha Vigna, board-certified nurse practitioner, in offering comprehensive primary healthcare services to the community.
With a background rooted in compassionate patient care, Dr. Barnard brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. He completed his residency in family medicine at CoxHealth Family Medicine in Springfield, Missouri, and holds a Doctorate of Osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to pursuing his medical career, he served as a physical therapy assistant at Ozarks Healthcare Therapies, deepening his connection to the local community. Most recently, Barnard practiced at Ozarks Healthcare Family Medicine in West Plains.
As a primary care provider, Dr. Barnard will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, coordinated care to individuals and families in Gainesville and the surrounding areas. He is skilled in treating common illnesses, conducting well-child visits, performing health-risk assessments, administering immunizations, and managing chronic conditions. He also has experience in wound care and behavioral health services.
