Ozarks Healthcare to offer Heartsaver® CPR and First Aid Training for Teens this Summer

Ozarks Healthcare is reminding teens they can be the difference between life and loss this summer through offering first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training this summer.

Ozarks Healthcare's Education Department will offer the American Heart Association's Heartsaver® First Aid CPR courses for teens aged 13-17 years old this June.

“Learning CPR and first aid at an early age can equip teens with life-saving skills that can make a difference in emergencies,” Andrea Fowler, education coordinator at Ozarks Healthcare, said. “Our upcoming training will empower teens to confidently respond to accidents and cardiac arrests, which can potentially save lives and minimize harm.”

Training will be conducted at Ozarks Healthcare's Parkway Center, in the Graham O'Neil Classroom on June 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. and on June 22 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please call the Ozarks Healthcare Education Department to register at 417-256-9111 ext. 5786. Class size is limited.

Those who register to attend are asked to download and complete the parental consent form found on Ozarks Healthcare’s website, www.ozarkshealthcare.com, and bring to class. A Heartsaver Card will be provided by the American Heart Association with a fee of $17, payable on the day of the class. The card will show proof of official certification after training is completed.
