Ozarks Healthcare At Home: Hospice honors Local Veteran Carl Trantham for Military Service
Ozarks Healthcare At Home: Hospice recently honored local resident Carl Trantham for his military service with a “We Honor Veterans” ceremony. Trantham served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1955.
Trantham was a music entertainer in the 28th U.S. Army Infantry at the 7th U.S. Army Headquarters in Germany. The love of music struck Trantham at a young age. He is a published artist with his hit song, “I’m a Caterpillar Man.” Locally, he was honored as the 30th Annual Bluegrass Entertainer of the Year and the 29th Annual Bluegrass Songwriter of the year. Trantham and his brother were members of the Bluegrass group, “The Highlanders.” He used the stage name “Carl Trent” and was heard weekly on the “Ozark Tradition Show.” Trantham also has a love of antique cars and has been a member of the West Plains Car Club. He has two daughters, Diana Evans and Carla Pettett.
During a special “We Honor Veterans” ceremony, Ozarks Healthcare At Home: Hospice staff presented Trantham with a certificate of appreciation and recognition.
