General Surgeon David Benalcazar, MD, joins Ozarks Healthcare
Ozarks Healthcare recently welcomed David Benalcazar, MD, board-eligible general surgeon, to Ozarks Healthcare General Surgery as a new provider. Benalcazar joins provider Anthony Campbell, DO, in providing expert, general surgery backed by the total resources of the Ozarks Healthcare system.
Benalcazar brings an impressive track record of excellence in general surgery, having completed his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Ecuador, Facultag de Ciencias Medicas, Quito-Ecuador. He completed a general surgery residency at the Harlem Hospital Center – Columbia University, New York.
Originally from Ecuador, Benalcazar, his wife, a general practitioner from Ecuador, and his young daughter relocated to the Ozarks from New York City.
“After spending several years in the city, we wanted to move somewhere family-friendly like West Plains,” Benalcazar said.
