Dr. Joseph Barnard, Ozarks Healthcare Family Practice Physician, now provides Primary Care at Thayer
Dr. Joseph Barnard, board-certified family medicine physician, recently joined providers Melissa Wright, MD, and Sheila Marler, FNP-C, at Ozarks Healthcare in Thayer, where he will provide primary care services for patients of all ages.
Primary care providers play a critical role in healthcare and are often the first points of contact for patients at Ozarks Healthcare. Ozarks Healthcare primary care providers are extensively trained and experienced and provide compassionate, coordinated care backed by the complete resources of the health system.
Barnard completed a residency in family medicine at Cox Health Family Medicine in Springfield, Missouri. He earned a Doctorate of Osteopathy (DO) from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before medical school, Barnard worked as a physical therapy assistant at Ozarks Healthcare Therapies.
Regarding family medicine, Barnard says he enjoys the challenge of the many facets of medical issues he can treat. He finds building relationships with patients of all ages and across multiple generations rewarding.

Ozarks Healthcare Thayer is located at 1375 Nettleton Ave., in Thayer, Missouri, and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
