E-Communications gifts $2,000 donation to Ozarks Healthcare Foundation’s Mobile Mammography Campaign
E-Communications has made a donation of $2,000 to the Ozarks Healthcare Foundation’s fundraising initiative for a mobile mammography unit. The funds will be used to help purchase a mobile mammography unit in 2022 to help make routine screenings more accessible for those across Ozarks Healthcare’s service area.
“E-Communications has been a loyal supporter of Ozarks Healthcare for many years,” Josh Reeves, Vice President of Development at Ozarks Healthcare, said. “Their dedication towards supporting the growth of our health system is appreciated more than we can express. With generous hearts such as those behind E-Communications, we are confident we can continue to help more of our family, friends, and neighbors live longer and healthier lives through increased health services.”
Many women put off getting a mammogram due to inconvenience. Studies also show women who are underinsured or uninsured are 35 percent more likely to have a mammogram offered by a mobile mammography unit versus going to an outpatient setting.
The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation is currently seeking pledges and donations for the campaign from individuals, businesses, and other organizations. Any business or organization interested in making a donation is asked to please call the Ozarks Healthcare Foundation at 417-853-5200 or contact Reeves directly at j.reeves@ozhcare.com. Individual donations can be collected online at https://www.ozarkshealthcare.com/support-us/foundation/mobile-mammography-unit-campaign/.
The Foundation is also hosting a raffle for a 2021 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 truck from Toyota of West Plains to support its mobile mammography campaign. Proceeds from raffle tickets sold will benefit the Foundation’s initiative to purchase a mobile mammography unit in 2022. Tickets are $100 and may be purchased online at https://www.ozarkshealthcare.com/support-us/ or by calling 417-853-5200.
