About the Ozarks Healthcare Medical Office Building
We're focused on your health.
Ozarks Healthcare's latest expansion is based on providing convenience for patients by placing more services under one roof. The new Medical Office Building connects the existing Shaw Medical Building and the current main hospital building, housing almost all of Ozark's Healthcare's specialty clinics and ancillary services to one location, creating a centralized space for patients.
Specifically, the construction of more than 100,000 square feet includes the construction of a new Medical Office Building, flexible clinics, a procedure suite, centralized imaging facilities, an updated pharmacy, and a new dining area. In addition, a new 20,000 square-foot Women's Center houses modern labor and delivery rooms, gynecological surgery facilities, and educational spaces.
These additions allow the facility to better serve more than 150,000 residents in South Central Missouri and Northern Arkansas who prefer to stay close to home to utilize quality healthcare services. As confirmed by a federally required Community Health Needs Assessment, Ozarks Healthcare continues to grow its facilities, services, and the Ozarks Healthcare Medical Group to focus on improving the overall health of those we serve.

Will the Medical Office Building impact patient billing?
One of the exciting new updates coinciding with the opening of our Medical Office Building involves billing practices for this new area. We have conducted an extensive review to determine the best way to proceed with our clinics moving into our new building that would be appropriate for our patients and financially viable for our organization. It was determined that we would move the specialty departments from Fee-for-Service to Outpatient.
During our review, we uncovered a better way to bill to insurances and began that practice within our Behavioral Health Center (BHC) area. This change has been a success, and we expect that to carry over to the clinics moving into our new building. Please keep in mind that through this process, we are keeping you as our patient at the forefront of our decisions, along with the financial impact to you and our organization.
